Eagle Pack Large & Giant Breed Puppy Dog Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for growth and gestation/lactation.

Transitioning to Eagle Pack®
It is important to slowly transition your puppy from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Eagle Pack each day, so that you are feeding 100% Eagle Pack by day 7.

Determining Feeding Portions
Looking at the chart, divide the total cups per day by 2 to 3 meals per day to determine the portion size for each meal. At 5-7 months, and again at about 12 months, your puppy will automatically reduce the amount consumed. This is due to a natural reduction in growth rate and the reduced need for calories. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Eagle Pack believes in feeding dry and wet food in combination whenever possible to help increase the level of water in your puppy's diet.

Recommended Feeding Portions

Every puppy is different so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, activity level, breed and environment. Please use this information as an initial recommendation only and adjust as needed.

Standard measuring cup holds approximately 3.75 oz (106 g) of Eagle Pack Large & Giant Breed Puppy Dog Food.

Dogs over 100 lbs. (45 kg): Add approximately 1/2 cup (53 g) for every 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) over 100 lbs.

Pregnant or Nursing Dogs: When pregnant, feed up to 50% more food according to body weight at 1 year old. For nursing dogs, allow her to eat at will.

Combination Feeding: If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount fed by 1/3 cup (35 g) for every 6.0 oz (170 g) of wet food.

Calorie Content: This food contains 3,460 kcal per kilogram or 367 kcal per cup ME (metabolizable energy) on an as fed basis (calculated).
